Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Bingo - Not In 17 Calls!

Thanks to Jackpotjoy we had the first TV programme bingo tie-in with The Price is Right Bingo, now there’s another thanks to Ladbrokes who this month have launched Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Bingo. The jackpot structure is based on the WWTBAM original format of 15 questions to win a million (apparently the new TV series will have less questions). Top prize in the WWTBAM bingo room at Ladbrokes is £1million, but in order to win this you’ll need to call house in 17 calls.

Bingo Blog actually thinks that that it is all but impossible to win this jackpot!

Million pound bingo isn’t new, but most games require bingo to be called within 35 to 40 balls - and how many wins have there been via this route? As far as we know - none! Call bingo between 35 and 40 balls on WWTBAM Bingo at Ladbrokes and the prize is a mere £1000 to £8000.

So what chance does anyone have of calling bingo in 17 calls? This is most certainly a case of, in the words of Chris Tarrant, “we don’t want to give you that”! By setting the calls to 17, Ladbrokes Bingo are simply saying “we’re just not going to give you this prize… ever”!

This ludicrous jackpot level shouldn’t put you off playing WWTBAM bingo as you may have more luck playing the Chat Games including Fastest Finger First, 50:50 and Ask The Audience as well as playing to win the smaller cash prizes. You also have the joy of Chris Tarrent being the bingo caller! However, if you’re looking for big cash prize bingo then look elsewhere for the progressive jackpots that require more calls.

    1. Playing Bingo Says:

That’s pretty shocking. It’s almost as much as a farce as that other long standing £1,000,000 Bingo game you mention. That could only be won in 33 numbers and then you wouldn’t get a £1,000,000 - you’d get £33,000 a year for thirty years, which is not the same thing. The average punter would be lucky to see the £100 jackpot on 46 calls, let alone anything bigger. Marketing hype if you ask me, it’s a shame - Ladbrokes should know better…
