A quick look at Betfred Bingo and it’s noticeable that they’ve lost Stuart Hall! Having featured as the face of Betfred Bingo since October 2007 (ish) the king of It’s a Knockout has been replaced by baldy old Fred (who we guess is Mr Betfred). Bingo and celebrity endorsements don’t ever seem to last and Stuart now joins Kerry Katona (Bingos) and Jordan (Foxy Bingo) on the ex-celeb bingo endorsement scrap heap.

It was difficult to see exactly what Stuart Hall offered Betfred Bingo, other than a celebrity name, and it has to be said he wasn’t exactly over used. The potential for “win a day with Stuart” or a Betfred Bingo It’s a Knockout tournament was there, but perhaps never taken up by the powers that be!

It remains to be seen whether Betfred Bingo bring in another celebrity or whether they opt, like many bingo rooms, to play on brand name instead. Losing a celebrity endorsement isn’t the end of the world for a bingo site. Foxy haven’t exactly suffered since losing Jordan although Bingos haven’t flourished since kicking out Kerry Katona, but that may be more down to what they offer bingo players.

There are still some celebrity names holding on to their bingo partners. Sharon Osbourne for example continues to work with Gala Bingo and Vic Reeves still features at 888 Ladies. We also can’t forget that Interbingo is hosted by Mark Folan and that Cheggers and Mr Paparazzi have their own bingo sites.
