Lottie’s Big Bingo Break at Gala Bingo
Gala TV has helped turn a dream into reality after offering a job to wannabe presenter Lottie Uttley following her plea to That’s Life magazine. Back in October the 30-year-old from Richmond, North Yorkshire, wrote to That’s Life expressing her lifelong dream to be a TV presenter so Gala TV, which had just launched Gala Show Time – a new, live and interactive way of playing bingo, gave Lottie a chance to have a go calling the numbers.
Partnering with ex-Hollyoaks actor and regular host Ben Hull, Lottie proved to be a complete natural in front of the cameras, impressing the Gala TV producers so much, they asked her to come back during the busy Christmas season.
Lottie said: “It was such a fantastic experience working with the Gala TV team – who all put me completely at ease on the day. The buzz from presenting live TV was incredible and I couldn’t believe it when they asked me to come back to host in the show in December. I am really excited about becoming a part of the great bingo community that Gala TV has!”
Gala TV manager, Kevin Loman, said: “We knew from the minute Lottie stepped in front of the cameras that she was born to present. Live TV can be incredibly nerve-wracking especially combined with the fast-paced nature of bingo, yet Lottie remained incredibly professional and proved a hit with our customers. Lottie will be hosting Gala Show Time on December 13 and 14 at galabingo.com in the Gala TV club and on Sky channel 861 from 9pm. Gala Show Time airs every Monday to Friday right the way through to January 2011. The action packed two hour extravaganza includes big guaranteed jackpots, scratch cards live on-screen plus celebrity guests, winners’ stories, photos and plenty of live chat with the presenters.
