Gala Bingo have launched a brand new TV advert campaign and it doesn’t feature ex X-Factor judge Sharon Osbourne suggesting that she’s been given the old heave-ho as the celebrity endorsement of the online bingo site. Her presence is no longer on the main pages of Gala Bingo either – which is no bad thing as she really didn’t seem to add any major value.
The new advert concentrates on Gala’s boasts that they “Splash the Cash” and pay out over £80million in prize money every month. The advert features a group of workmen “accidentally” drilling into a money pipe and cash splashing out all over the place. Residents of the area are then seen grabbing the cash (or hoovering up off their lawns)!
The music for the Gala Bingo advert is called Money (That’s What I Want) and Bingo Blog believes that the version used is by Barratt Strong. It’s a good enough bingo advert – although the last three images of people playing bingo (and winning) all show money come out of a laptop onto female players and surely even Gala recognise that bingo is played by the guys as well?
