Jackpotjoy Bingo – 2009 Bingo Review
Readers of Bingo Blog will know that Jackpotjoy are one of our favourite bingo sites. During 2009 they celebrated their 7th Birthday but has it been a vintage year for them? Compared to the likes of Wink, Cheeky and Foxy we think 2009 has been another quiet, but steady year for Jackpotjoy.
They opened up the New Year by finally opening their second 90 Ball Full House Bingo room, about six months later than expected. However, the big innovation during the year was Family Fortunes Team Bingo, a very clever twist on the team bingo game. Instead of picking your own team, players are assigned a team and if a member of their team wins the jackpot, the rest of the team also shares a small prize.
Prizes have been a big feature at Jackpotjoy during 2009. The free prize draw prizes, which you can enter by collecting points, have continued but paying players have also been offered some great prizes as well. Top of the list were 7 Fiat 500 Cars that were given away as part of JPJ’s seventh birthday celebrations.
As well as the cars there have been X-Factor giveaways, a festive Monopoly promotion and even a few games of free bingo. Whilst many sites introduced a lot of free games to compete with the emergence of Costa Bingo and Cheeky Bingo, Jackpotjoy have been reticent when it comes this growing trend. That may prove to be a sensible decision especially as JPJ have other selling points that should attract players.
Progressive jackpots for example are some of the highest (if not the highest) bingo jackpots online in The UK. A couple of Full House Bingo progressives over £125,000 have been won during 2009 whilst just under £120,000 was won on Bingo Gold. If you like playing for big progressives then Jackpotjoy remains the site to find the biggest and best!
So what does 2010 hold for bingo at Jackpotjoy? We expect to see pretty much more of the same – the adage of “if it ain’t broke” should be applied as whilst other bingo rooms battle amongst themselves, Jackpotjoy are concentrating on what they do best. Of course there’s room for improvement and we’d hope to see new features in 2010 that push the free bingo for real cash prize sites aside.
