Jackpotjoy Bingo – Was It All Joy In 2008?
Jackpotjoy is one of Bingo Blog’s favourite bingo sites but compared to the likes of Wink, Foxy and 888 Ladies have they done enough to Bingo Site of the Year? We said back in March 2008 that they’d been quiet since the launch of Full House Bingo and that has been the trend for most of 2008.
That’s actually not a bad thing though – a bingo site can’t just be all be new features and new games all the time – and there have been some memorable moments as 2008 has been a year of records for Jackpotjoy.
A Bingo Gold Jackpot of £185,942 was won by Patrick C, Catherine C won a record £175,064 on Full House Bingo and the end of 2008/start of 2009 will see Jackpotjoy’s first ever Deal or No Deal million pound winner!
Jackpotjoy have also improved their games and made them more attractive to their players. 2008 saw them launch free bingo, penny bingo and even reduce the price of The Price of Right Bingo game cards down to 10p a ticket. We were expecting a new bingo room from JPJ in 2008 – The Emerald Room – however this seems to have been put to the back burner for now, perhaps it will appear in 2009?
Bingo Nana wasn’t left on the back burner (although we’re not sure about her as a bingo icon) and together with her new pet Bailey the Cat has offered players the chance to win cash prizes! We’d have liked to see a little bit more from Jackpotjoy in 2008! A few prize bingo games, more competitions, or even a few The Price is Right Bingo Mini winners would have been nice! Jackpotjoy’s operators Gamesys did launch the new Sun Bingo this year and we’d like to see 80 ball games and Wingo (or at least versions of them) added to JPJ!
However, no one can argue that they do offer some of the biggest winnable jackpots in bingo – and this still makes them a very attractive bingo site for players.
