Oi Oi Oi Jackpotjoy Crown The Queen of Bingo
Despite the pleas of Phil to stay in Albert Square, Peggy Mitchell walked off into the sunset and left Eastenders after 16 years. Actress Barbara Windsor though was quickly back on our screens as she was crowned The Queen of Bingo. Babs will star in a series of adverts over the coming weeks as she brings bingo offers to her bingo subjects.
The advert features two sidekicks, no not the muscley bodyguards, but Jack and Joy. Jack is pretty annoying as is his “Oi Oi Oi” call. It’s not a patch on Oggy Oggy Oggy is it now! Joy is slightly better with her “hair of rust” that turns to Jack to mush.
There’s very much a Carry On theme here with Babs’ famous giggle and even a “C’mon Boys Show us Your Balls” bit of Carry On humour, at least in the long clip above. It’s always nice to see big bingo balls in a bingo advert, where would we be without them eh?
