New bingo site Minxy Bingo have been conducting a survey to find the UK’s top secret minx. They polled over 2000 bingo players and asked them “to look past the professional exterior of Britain’s unlikely sex symbols, and reveal which celebrity women they believed to have the minxiest twinkle in their eye”.
Unsurprisingly GMTV’s Lorraine Kelly topped the charts! Lesley Hall of Minxy Bingo explained that Lorraine’s “cheekiness, confidence and subtle sexiness marks her out as the ultimate secret minx”. Not far behind Lorraine came Fiona Bruce with Strictly Come Dancing’s Arlene Philips third.
The big surprises are Dragon’s Den’s Deborah Meaden in sixth and The Apprentice’s Margaret Mountford coming in 7th (Sir Alan will be pleased). Deborah Meaden always looks pretty hard faced, whilst Margaret looks like she’d be happiest with a cup of tea and a slice of cake rather than anything remotely minxy.
Karen Brady (4th), Anne Robinson (5th – 5th!!! Anne Robinson!), Cherie Blair (8th), Princess Anne (9th) and PM’s missus Sarah Brown (10th) completed the top 10. If this was the top 10 we’d hate to see the other options. Cherie Blair? Princess Anne? Come on!!
Minxy also asked their users to rate more conventional celebrity sex symbols on their minxiness to see how the Secret Minxes compare and Arlene Phillips was voted minxier than Britney Spears, and Anne Robinson minxier than Madonna.
Even with the best will in the world, or an excessive volume of alcohol, Arlene Philips is not minxier than Britney! This result alone just goes to show that the people taking the survey wouldn’t know a minx if she paraded in front of them with a huge placard proclaiming “Minx Are Here Again”! By the way we’re not told the percentage of male/female voters!
