Bingo Confidential – A Movie About Bingo!
Although Bingo Blog isn’t at the 4th Annual Bullet Business Bingo Summit we have been keeping an eye on Twitter for any interesting news and the most intriguing tweet was that the summit was opened with a trailer for a movie called Bingo Confidential. That sounded interesting and after quick look on Youtube, sure enough the trailer is on there too.
There’s even a website about the movie – Bingo Confidential and you can follow the movie’s maker Susan Benfatto over on Twitter.
It’s an indie film and apart from interest by bingo sites in the UK, which may explain why it’s opening the summit, it probably would remain undiscovered. The movie “follows 6 wacky bingo lovin’ players as they head to a million dollar bingo game”! It looks a lot of fun although a bit of synopsis on the site wouldn’t go amiss.
From what we can deduce from the trailer, a bingo player called Ethel has died and has left in her will one million dollars (accrued from winning bingo). That is the prize money for one bingo game and the movie tells the tale of how the six main characters get to the game.
Whilst bingo on TV has died on it’s feet here in the UK, after all the offerings by ITV and those sites that run bingo channels make watching Big Brother a viable alternative, we wonder whether a film about bingo would spark cinema goers interest.
