The Oldest Bingo Caller in Town
Tom Davis of Coventry has stepped forward to claim the record as the oldest bingo caller. His age is a top of the shop 99! Tom who attends the Maymorn Club in Everdon Road, Holbrooks, where he calls the numbers, told ICCoventry “I really enjoy the bingo. We have a laugh and a joke and you meet people and we go around and have a chat.”
According to ICCoventry they were told about Tom after another bingo caller Bingo Bert Sale had featured in the local news and who they claimed “could be the oldest bingo caller in Britain”. However, Bert at a spritely 84 has been well and truly trumped by Tom in the age stakes!
The question now is will another older bingo caller step forward to take Tom’s crown as quickly as he manged to take the title from Bert?
