Entering the competition is really easy – all you need to do is play bingo – although disappointingly, if you don’t play a lot of bingo, it’s one of those “whoever plays the most takes the prizes” promotion. Every 5p you spend on bingo cards at Virgin Bingo until Sunday 4th October will get you 1 point. The top 10 point-scorers all win a prize with the first placed person getting the X Factor tickets.
Currently the leader is on 2180 points which we think equates to £109 in cash! We hope the tickets are VIP ones and include travel and accommodation (we’re not sure they do) as £109 (or indeed any more) will be more than enough to buy a pair of tickets and enjoy a few games of bingo.
In fact this promotion highlights that prizes offered to bingo players aren’t always as good as they first seem, unless you’re one of the winners and/or a high roller.
We think it would have been better to have some prizes on offer to all players who say had played at least £1 of bingo and/or made sure the prize on offer was something money can’t buy – for example VIP tickets and a chance to meet the stars.
This prize promo aside, Virgin Bingo is a good site for bingo players and it’s well worth visiting to enjoy their selection of bingo games and the daily free scratchcard (for paying players only) to get an extra free bingo bonus. Let’s hope they have some better competitions in the near future for X Factor lovers.
