Earlier this month Wink Bingo sadly dropped their £15 free no deposit bonus. It had been in place almost since the site’s launch and given that most major sites don’t offer this kind of bonus it comes as no surprise. The surprise though does come in the promotion that they’ve replaced it with. There 200% deposit bonus remains in place, but on top of that new players making a first deposit are invited to Spin the Wheel.
Spin the Wheel is a free bonus game! You spin the wheel, obviously, and are rewarded with a further bonus of at least £15 right up to a maximum of £1000. It’s one spin and one spin only! The idea is to reward those players who are spending and depositing money with Wink Bingo rather than just continually give away £15 no deposit bonuses. If your intention, when joining Wink, was to pay to play then in effect you’re not losing out.
Of course this does mean that you can’t “try before you buy” which may frustrate some players.
The days of the no deposit bonus do seem numbered, or at least limited in terms of what’s on offer. Loquax Bingo offers £1 no deposit bonus whilst there’s a nice £5 free on offer at Deal or No Deal Bingo.
There are other no deposit offers around too including Ruby Bingo (£16) and Game Village (£20), although at sites like Cyberbingo (£100) and Gone Bingo (£15) the bonus is limited to trial rooms only.
How long these offers remain is unknown as is the effect on Wink’s change of bonus. Only time will tell if the no deposit bonus is to become online bingo history.
